Dr. Yianna Armosti

Senior Forensic Psychologist

BSc (Hons) Psychology, MSc Forensic Psychology, Doctorate in Forensic Psychology (ForenPsyD); is a Registered and Chartered Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC: no: PYL 34317), the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a Full Member of Division of Forensic Psychology. Dr Armosti is also a Registered Forensic Psychologist in Cyprus (18141/502).  Dr Armosti has experience in conducting psychological assessments of parents and children in the context of Child Protection Proceedings and preparation of expert witness reports for Magistrates, County and Crown Courts in England and Wales. She has been involved in the preparation of risk and treatment needs’ assessments and of formulations to inform management plans for high-risk offenders managed by Probation Services across Derbyshire and West Mercia. Dr Armosti has experience of working in in-patient settings, including low and medium secure units. This has involved working in a medium secure unit with adolescents with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), working within a specialised service for people with Intellectual Disabilities. Whilst working in these services she was responsible for conducting risk assessments, preparing and delivering group and individual treatment, preparing reports for the Care Programme Approach and Mental Health Review Tribunals, and providing training for multi-disciplinary professionals.
